If you are just starting your skincare journey, here is a simple 3-step skincare routine to get started.

Daytime Skincare Routine
Your daytime skincare routine doesn’t have to be fifteen different steps in order to have healthy skin. A basic routine to keep your skin happy and healthy consists of cleansing, moisturizing, and protecting from the sun.
When looking for a skincare routine start with the basics. First, find a cleanser best suited for your skin type. If you have dry skin, you want to opt for an oil-based or moisturizing cleanser. If your skin is acne prone and oily, you want to opt for an oil-free cleanser with acne fighting ingredients like salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide. If your skin is sensitive, you want to opt for a gentle, soothing cleanser or a micellar water. Then, you want to follow up with a moisturizer. If your skin is more dry, try to find a thicker moisturizing facial cream and if your skin is more oily, try to find a lighter, oil-free moisturizing facial gel. Finally, you want to protect your skin from the sun. You want to add sunscreen as your final step, this will help to prevent skin cancer, aging, and hyperpigmentation. Find a sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher.
Finding a skincare routine doesn’t have to be overwhelming. Start with the three basics to get your skincare journey started on the right track.
